A-2870-000

Vintage Valentine Postcard 1911 Canada "Love's Message" card from 1911. No manufacturer's notation but clearly a quality product of the times. Excellent condition, clean die-cut impression. Top and bottom edges are still intact and fresh. This card was obviously well-cared for. Originally posted from Ouvry, Ontario in Feb 1911 with cancelled 1-cent Canadian stamp, "To Cousin Grant from Hazel" written on back. The artwork is exceptional, colors are unfaded and nicely balanced. The die-cut chromolithograph impression creates a vivid 3D appearance of the little boy kissing the hand of the young girl. Overall, a rare and endearing card in great condition. Valentine; Die-Cut; Canada; Chromolithograph.

A-1528-000

Vintage Valentine 1913 Printed in Germany This is one of the nicest looking vintage postcards we've seen. Printed in Germany, "To My Valentine" card, from 1913. The golds are brilliant, in fact all of the colors are vivid (see photo), in excellent condition. Originally mailed to Hornell, NY. The image of Cupid setting afloat glass bottles with little golden hearts is both clever and endearing. Overall, a rare and beautifully-preserved card with masterful artwork. Valentine; Chromolithograph; Germany.
