Solid brass construction, quite old, made in the days when the cover was thick enough to also serve as a heat shield. Apparently never used as there are no signs of heat damage. 1-5/16 inch diameter opening, cover swings open, 2-5/8 inches in diameter x 2-1/8 inches high, 5-3/8 inches wide across top to handle, weighs 6 ounces, excellent condition.
